About the Place
Also known as Solmar Mountain or Cerro del Vigía), Mt. Solmar is a prominent, 460-foot peak located at the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula in Cabo San Lucas. Known for offering some of the most spectacular 360-degree panoramic views in Los Cabos, the summit overlooks the Cabo San Lucas Marina, the Pacific Ocean, the Sea of Cortez, and the iconic Land's End rock formations (El Arco). Because the mountain sits on private property, public access is uniquely managed by a local property caretaker named Enrique, who operates a dog training camp/kennel at the base. He generously leads free, daily guided hikes up the steep, rocky terrain in exchange for voluntary tips and donations.
